Why Your Standby Generator Fails When You Need It Most: Eaton Circuit Breaker Trips, Blinking Charger Lights, and Clogged 20x20x4 Air Filters

The phone rang at 2:47 a.m. A facility manager on the line: "The generator won't start. We're running on UPS for the next 20 minutes. The Eaton circuit breaker is tripped, the lithium battery charger is blinking red, and I just changed the 20 x 20 x 4 air filter last month—or maybe last year. I don't know."

I could hear the panic. And I knew this call wasn't about the breaker or the charger or the filter alone. It was about a system that had been neglected until it became an emergency.
